Galaxy S II in pink

Having suggested just this morning that maybe we've seen enough iterations of Samsung's popular Galaxy S II handset, the Korean company is set to roll out another one. It's coming to the U.K. and on the inside it'll be identical to the original Galaxy S II. But on the outside, it'll be bright pink.

It's the perfect gift for your loved one (assuming they're an Android fan) this Valentine's Day. It launches on February 13 — just 24 hours before the special day — and is now available to buy online through the Phones4U website for delivery on launch day.

With a two-year contract, the device will cost just £21.50 (approx. $33) per month, according to Android Central, which you could say is even more delightful that the device itself. But you don't need to buy the pink one to take advantage of that price; the black and white models are also available from £21.50 with a two-year commitment from O2.

If you'd like to drop the commitment altogether, you can also get the pink handset SIM-free, but it would make for a very expensive Valentine's Day gift at £499.99 (approx. $768). That's just £30 (approx. $46) less than a SIM-free Galaxy Nexus — Samsung's latest Android smartphone.

The U.K. isn't the first to get the Galaxy S II in pink. The handset first launched in South Korea back in November, and was expected to make its international rollout before the end of 2010. It was beginning to look like the device would remain exclusive to South Korea, but it seems Samsung was simply waiting for that perfect day.

Would you or your loved one be interested in a pink Galaxy S II?
