Samsung Galaxy S4 VS HTC One-In Hand 2

Samsung hasn’t yet announced the Galaxy S4 Zoom, but the device will apparently pack a 16-megapixel camera and may launch as soon as next month alongside the Galaxy S4 Active. It also recently passed through the Bluetooth SIG with the model number SM-C101. We don’t know what else we can expect from the smartphone, but believe that it will offer similar components to the Galaxy S4 but with a better camera and, likely, a slightly thicker body to make room for the additional hardware.

Now an image that was allegedly snapped with the Galaxy S4 Zoom’s camera was leaked. TechTastic spotted the test shot, which was snapped by Shahriar Hossain who is reportedly on Samsung’s staff. EXIF data can be easily faked, but it’s not uncommon for these type of shots to hit the web ahead of a phone’s launch. SamMobile noticed it was also edited using Snapseed, which Google owns and distributes for Android devices.

The data reveals a 4mm focal length and an 8.8 aperture. It also suggests the photo was shot without a flash and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 – far below that of a 16-megapixel photo. Still, that’s likely the edited size so that it showed properly on the phone’s 1080p display. We imagine we’ll learn more about the S4 Zoom as its launch nears. Check out the photo below.
