The Samsung Galaxy S10, the highly anticipated smartphone from one of the biggest smartphone makers, is coming February 20.
Samsung on Thursday announced its next Unpacked event where it will take the wraps off its next flagship device, the Galaxy S10. The event is taking place on Wednesday, February 20, at 11 a.m. PT at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California.
Interestingly, Samsung pulled one on us as it is making the announcement ahead of schedule. Up until now, it was believed that it would announce the Galaxy S10 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which is taking place the week after the Unpacked event, but it went a different route and chose to hold an event solely focused on its new smartphone.
Some of the things we can expect from the Galaxy S10 is a nearly bezel-less Infinity-O display that will utilize the punch hole design to eliminate the need for a notch. It’s a striking design we’ve seen in multiple renders and it just looks gorgeous. We can also expect Samsung to implement a triple camera system to the Galaxy S line for the first time.
In total, we should see three different variants: a standard model, a plus size model and a high end model that has all of the bells and whistles. Samsung could also show off its first 5G smartphone though it is not expected to be available until the spring.
That’s not all Samsung will show off at the event. The Wall Street Journal is reporting Samsung will also show off its “fully functional” foldable phone. We already saw a rough prototype of it last year, but we imagine we’ll see a newer version that’s more refined at the event.
