White Samsung Galaxy Nexus official

I have a weakness for white devices. I don’t know whether it’s due to a subconscious obsession with minimalism and purity or just a strong effeminate side, but I just can’t get enough of them. I’m really excited, then, for Samsung’s white Galaxy Nexus, which will be available in the U.K. from next month.

The British retailer Clove.co.uk is currently advertising the handset with a release during the week commencing February 6. It will be available with 16GB of internal storage, and a £498 (approx. $774) price tag — the same as its black counterpart.

Despite its white exterior, the handset’s internals remain the same, with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display, and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. Oh, the specs sheet also says something about an Ice Cream Sandwich operating system — whatever one of those is.

It’s unclear when — if at all — the white device will be launching in other markets, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye open for more information. We’ll also get the white pictures up as soon as we have them.

Will you be bagging the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in white?

UPDATE: It seems the image of the white Samsung Galaxy Nexus we included yesterday — which featured a white front panel — wasn’t official. The official images — which feature a black front panel and a white rear — have now been added.
