Samsung’s smartphones are already pretty thin, but a new leak suggests that it’s working on building the thinnest smartphone it has ever made. Photos of the alleged Samsung Galaxy A8 surfaced recently, and show a device that reportedly measures just 5.9mm thick. published photos of the A8 recently, and also provided some specs on the still unannounced smartphone. The device, otherwise known as the SM-A8000, reportedly packs a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution, a 16-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot along with a 3,050mAh battery. The processor is relatively underpowered, at least compared to today’s flagships, but the rest of those specs are pretty compelling for a really thin package.

There’s still no word on when the Galaxy A8 will launch, how much it will cost or where it will be available.
