We had feared that the Samsung Galaxy S III "Pebble Blue" may be delayed after a number of retailers in the United Kingdom announced the news yesterday. Unfortunately, until this morning, we had no official word from Samsung or a timeframe for its delay.
The Korean electronics giant has now confirmed that the device is delayed "in order to meet the highest internal quality standards." Those who pre-ordered the Pebble Blue variant can expect to see their handset in two to three weeks:
"Samsung's GALAXY S III Pebble Blue version comes with a newly invented blue color and special hyperglaze material.
In order to meet the highest internal quality standards and to provide the best quality GALAXY S III to customers, a short supply of Pebble Blue version is expected in some regions in the next 2-3 weeks.
Samsung is working hard to ensure that customers will get the Pebble Blue colored devices as soon as possible."
Fortunately for those of you who ordered a Ceramic White Galaxy S III, those devices are launching today as planned.
