Saints Row IV is getting a standalone expansion this year, in case you didn't know already. Titled Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, this fresh storyline will sell for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.

To inform the masses, Deep Silver and Volition have created a video with developer Jim Boone that serves as a preliminary walkthrough for the game.

It wouldn't be a Saints Row game nowadays if it didn't pack insane combat and weaponry, and that's exactly what's on display here. There's also the crazy locale of hell. This game looks ridiculous, folks. I'll be all over it.

Man, the Armchairageddon looks absolutely amazing, doesn't it?

The only thing I'm not sold on here is the look of the game. I didn't like how dank and dark Saints Row IV was at all times. It could have used a much more diverse color palette. Gat Out of Hell, unfortunately, looks just as dark, only this time there's an emphasis on red instead of purple.

Volition and Deep Silver also revealed Saints Row IV: Re-Elected today with this new trailer. Gat out of Hell will ship in this next-gen port, as Saints Row IV: Re-Elected will bring the original game to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Both the standalone experience and this remaster will launch on Jan. 27, 2015.
