Rocket League. Kind of a big deal, right? However, I don’t think anyone, even the developers, would have assumed this game would become as successful as it is. It launched on the PC and PlayStation 4 at the same time, though the PS4 release was free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Now? The game that cost a little less than $2 million to make has earned nearly $50 million in revenue since launching in July.

All that success has lead to using famous and licensed cars. There’s a DeLorean from Back to the Future available in the game now, and Universal and Psyonix are talking about getting KITT from Knight Rider, too.

Rocket League won’t stay on just the PlayStation 4 and PC. The game will jump to the Xbox One next year.
