Before Capcom releases the Resident Evil 2 remake on January 25, players can get a taste of the survival horror game early. Capcom has released a unique “1-Shot Demo” for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, that gives players a chance to experience the remake for 30 minutes.
Interestingly, once your 30 minutes are up, you won’t be able to try the demo again, so you’ll have to make your time with the game count. After the demo is over, Capcom encourages players to purchase the game for their console of choice.
The demo takes players through a portion of the game as Leon S. Kennedy, whose first day on the job with the Raccoon City police force happens to coincide with a virus outbreak. If you manage to finish the demo before the 30 minutes are up, you can go through it again.
Fans of Resident Evil have been waiting years for Capcom to release a remake of Resident Evil 2, which is often considering one of the franchise’s strongest entries. The remake completely reimagines the game’s graphics and also introduces an over-the-shoulder viewpoint similar to that of Resident Evil 4.
The Resident Evil 2 “1-Shot Demo” is available now and will continue to be available through January 31. The game launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 25.
