Redbox 2 billion celebration

Redbox passed the milestone of 2 billion rentals this past weekend, and to celebrate the milestone, they’re giving away free DVD rentals today.

It took Redbox around six years to hit 1 billion rentals, but the second milestone of 2 billion took only 18 months.  Maybe people are just more used to seeing the kiosks now, or perhaps it’s because they’ve put a good chunk of the video rental stores out of business, either way, the company is picking up speed.

If you head over to the Redbox Facebook page you’ll find a code for a free DVD rental, and it will also give you a discount on Blu-ray or video game discs if that’s what you’re looking for this evening.  The deal is only good for today, so the clock is ticking to take advantage of this offer.
