Game Informer spotted a listing on Amazon's French website for Ratchet & Clank's HD collection. The listing ran without a price, but it did have a release date of May 16th, 2012. According to the gaming magazine, the details for this potentially upcoming package stopped there.

The listing has since been pulled.

Sony's recently gotten into the habit of making and releasing HD collections of older, fan-favorite franchises. The most recent of which include series like God of War, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper and the work of Team Ico. Seeing Insomniac Games' early titles featuring the evil fighting duo remade and re-polished for release on the PlayStation 3 makes complete sense from where we're standing.

Plus, on a personal note, Ratchet & Clank is my favorite exclusive in the Sony brand. From the insane weapons to the fantastic characters and inside jokes, this series has been one that I've loved from start to finish. Seeing an HD collection at retail would essentially force my hand into my wallet for my cash.

Say it with us now, "Oh please,oh please, oh please, oh please…"

As more comes from this rumor, including an official confirmation or denial from Sony, we'll have it.
