There’s a closed alpha going on right now for Rainbow Six: Siege, the next in the long-running series below the Tom Clancy banner from Ubisoft. We know there’s a closed alpha going on not because we were informed by Ubisoft, but because some leaked gameplay footage has arrived by way of All Games Beta.

You’ll see the footage embedded at the head of this post, assuming it hasn’t been pulled yet. It’s an uncut match from the multiplayer in the game. The content goes down inside an airplane, and it appears to pit one group defending a hostage against another trying to come in and pull off a rescue.

This, at its core, is Rainbow Six: Siege.

There’s a sort of defense element here where you’ll be tasked with fortifying the level with extra barricades and boobytraps. All of this is done in an effort to slow your attackers or force them into choke points.

It all actually looks pretty compelling, and while Ubisoft certainly didn’t want this footage to leak, it has piqued my interest for the game.

Rainbow Six: Siege is set to launch for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. It does not have a release date yet, for it is slated for this year.
