Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 might be a familiar name at this point: it powers the HTC One X, the EVO 4G LTE, Samsung's U.S. models of the Galaxy S III and many other high-end devices. Qualcomm isn't stopping with phones, though: the company said it's already working with its partners on Windows RT notebooks that are powered by the very same Snapdragon S4 chip. Better yet, those notebooks are already in production.

The statement was made during the Computex tradeshow in Taipei recently, The Verge said. Qualcomm senior vice president Rob Chandhok also provided a glimpse at the chuipmaker's roadmap which said the company plans to commercialize its quad-coreSnapdragon S4 APQ8064 by June 2012. Hopefully we start to hear more news on those devices soon.
