Qualcomm recently scooped up former Intel head of ultra mobility Anand Chandrasekher to serve as its chief marketing officer. Chandrasekher left Intel in March after spending 25 years with the chipmaker. "I am pleased to welcome Anand Chandrasekher as chief marketing officer," Qualcomm president Steve Mollenkopf said. "His extensive experience in marketing and management makes Anand well-suited to help grow Qualcomm's communications and marketing efforts across the world and to amplify our consumer offerings to new audiences." Chandrasekher worked at Intel on the company's Centrino and Atom products, AllThingsD said. Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors power most of the high-end smartphones in the United States. Its S4 chip, for example, offers a dual-core processor as well as support for 4G LTE networks on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless.
