PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) has been in the news lately due to its newly launched mobile version. The popular game started off as PC-only before making its way to the Xbox and now mobile. While each offer a great experience, there's no denying the console version is the roughest, struggling to translate all of the intricacies into a console form factor . That's changing little by little.

A new update rolling out this week promises to improve the experience of Battlegrounds on the Xbox.

Dubbed 'Patch 11,' the update will continue to optimize performance and improve the layout of the gaming mechanics. Some of these include inventory management, which is meant to "increase the speed at which players can navigate menus and change their loadout," according to the update description.

Here are some of the other big changes coming with the update.

Performance / Optimization / Stability

Implemented texture changes to improve graphical performance

Optimized vehicle profiles to improve frame rate

Additional fixes to reduce crashes

UI/UX (Inventory)

The layout of the inventory has been improved, adding focal points to identify selected areas, a clearer button guide and tooltips

Improved selection of weapon slots and attachments – players can change the focus and selection by using the D-Pad

Quick scrolling has been added by using LT/RT buttons

This latest attempt to bring the Xbox Battlegrounds experience up to a par with the PC version should deliver promising results.
