The closed arena and dungeon beat ’em up based on the Pokémon franchise is about to get yet another sequel. This time, Pokémon Rumble U is bound for the Wii U.

Nintendo released a fresh batch of screenshots (which you’ll find in the gallery below) and a quick overview trailer of all that the game has to offer (which you’ll find embedded above).

As the trailer indicates, this game makes use of the Wii U GamePad’s NFC capabilities. Players will be able to buy additional figurines in order to unlock in-game characters for further battling. If Pokémon Rumble U catches on, expect that to make Nintendo a whole lot of money.

People love collecting stuff.

Pokémon Rumble U will launch as a digital-only title for the Wii U by the end of this month. Starting August 29th, you’ll be able to download the game from the Nintendo eShop and buy the physical NFC figurines at your local GameStop. The game is set to cost you $17.99, while each figure will cost $3.99.
