Whether PlayStation All-Stars is a rip-off of Nintendo's long-running Smash Brothers series has been a point of debate since the former's debut, but either way it's clear Sony's making sure to mine every property they can putting it together. Images allegedly pulled from the private beta of the game show a variety of stages as well a gallery of character headshots. The NeoGAF thread that leaked the images indicates that many of these characters are unlockable, and the code pulled out shows yet more characters.

The list includes such Sony stalwarts as Jak, Ratchet, and inFamous' Cole McGrath (good and evil versions!). Metal Gear Rising's Raiden, Nariko from Heavenly Sword, and Sony's Japanese mascot Toro are also in the image. Sir Daniel from MediEvil and Spike from Ape Escape show just how far back Sony is going in their library. In the file information, references are included to some other already-known characters like Nathan Drake of Uncharted, the God of War himself Kratos, and Parappa the Rappa. Aside from filling out the character roster, this could be a good way for Sony to gauge what characters might be deserving of a reboot, especially if they collect character usage information the way

Some surprises in the list of stages include an Ape Escape stage and a Bioshock Infinite stage, in addition to the more obvious Sony properties.

Another thread indicates that more of these reveals are set for August's GamesCom conference in Germany, as well as suggesting the inclusion of another female character.
