A few months after becoming available to iOS users, Plants vs. Zombies 2 is now available through Google Play. And it's free (with plenty of in-app purchases), just as it was on iOS back in August. Considering you can get through the game without spending a dime, I'd recommended resisting the temptation of purchasing anything the game has to offer (unless you want to take the easy way out). But, you know, how you spend your hard earned cash is your prerogative.
Initially—and painfully—an iOS exclusive, Plants vs. Zombies 2 is the type of game you expect it to be: fun, challenging and more addictive than it has any right to be. Much more robust than the first game—but no less entertaining—PopCap's sequel introduces plenty of new plants, features and modes to keep players coming back for more. And instead of a single locale, the game specs multiple eras, hence the "It's About Time" name, keeping the tower defense fresh.
The game itself requires Android 2.3, ARMv7 1.0 GHz or higher, and 1GB of RAM to run. Additionally, the game's description some features may vary by mobile device, so be aware of that. Otherwise, this is the very same game iOS users have been enjoying for a few months now. To celebrate the game's launch, Android users can get 65 percent off the mighty Jalapeño this week only. So get to planting.
