Pixar's Onward: Everything you need to know

Pixar is gearing up to release a new fantasy film called Onward and starring Tom Holland and Chris Pratt (both of Marvel fame). The film, which follows to elf brothers, is Pixar's first original story since 2017's Coco. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming film.

The first trailer for Onward is a feast for the eyes. But it's not just meant to delight fans with gorgeous visual; the Onward trailer introduces the movie's world of fantastical inhabitants—one in which dragons are pets and gnomes are gardeners.

We also get a brief look at the two main characters, Ian Lightfoot (Tom Holland) and Barley Lightfoot (Chris Pratt), who set out together on a "grand and glorious quest."

Pixar's Onward is scheduled to hit theaters on March 6, 2020.

Onward cast

The voice cast is headlined by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt. Joining them is Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer. The film will likely feature a much larger cast, but Pixar has so far made no other casting announcements.
