With every trailer and screenshot dump that appears for Pikmin 3, I get more and more excited for the upcoming game. Of course, I’ve been in love with Pikmin since its initial release on the GameCube in 2001.
2001! That was 12 years ago! Hold on, I’m going to the store to get some Bengay for my aging joints.
A brand new Pikmin 3 trailer, posted by the folks at GamesHQMedia, highlights a few of the Pikmin types in the new game. Some of them are brand new, like the Rock and Flying types, and I can’t wait to use them in an effort to collect Earth’s trash as treasure.
While it might seem strange for some folks (or most, maybe), Pikmin 3 was pretty much the major reason I was excited for the Wii U leading up to its launch last year. When the game was delayed out of the release window for the system, I was bummed. Now that it’s actually coming to fruition next month, I’m incredibly jazzed.
Pikmin 3 will hit the Wii U in North America on August 4th. That’s just a few weeks away.
