Earlier today, Nintendo released a 30 minute Nintendo Direct presentation highlighting the games and services bound for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS over the next several months.

In the video, they showed a few minutes of Pikmin 3 gameplay. The gameplay is separated by cuts, but otherwise uninterrupted by narration or title slides. That all happens at 6:08 in the clip below.

When the Wii U released, Nintendo defined the launch window for games as November 18th, 2012 until March 31st, 2013. Pikmin 3 was meant to release before the close of that window. In the Nintendo Direct presentation, the company announced that Pikmin 3 will now release in Q2 of 2013, after the March 31st closure date.

With that, Pikmin 3 is officially no longer a Wii U launch title. As if the launch window was much of a thing anyways, Nintendo's pushed another big slugger out of its early console lineup. When more comes for Pikmin 3, including the official release date, we'll have it.
