Awww yea… The Persona series is widely acclaimed for its hip hoppin’ tunes, so naturally Atlus has to turn it into a rhythm game at some point, right? Persona 4 Dancing All Night made a highly anticipated appearance during the 30 hour news stream, still live as of writing, and Atlus was gracious enough to show us the new opening main theme as a tease.

Yes, it’s just as wonderful as you would expect it to be if you are a fan.

Atlus taps the same musicians who have worked with the series for several entries now to crank out another upbeat track with nonsensical lyrics and that inexplicable addictive charm to it. This one is great, but I’m not sure if I would put it up with perennial favorites “Reach Out to the Truth,” “Maze of Life,” and of course, the one and only “Light the Fire Up in the Night.”

I really need to keep my excitement in check for this game. Persona has the hottest soundtracks on the market these days, and I just can’t way to interact with them through a touch screen. Even better, I can wait to experience new songs and see what else the company has up its sleeves.

Persona 4 Dancing All Night will be released in Japan this June for the PS Vita, announced at a live Persona concert earlier this evening. Along with the announcement came a few screenshots and a new trailer.
