Atlus has a long running tradition of rewarding its faithful with musical CD's when preordering their games, so it comes as no surprise to long time fans when Atlus announces that its upcoming 2D fighting game Persona 4 Arena will be no different. Picking up a copy from the first shipment will land you a complimentary musical CD with the game's musical score.

Last week, Atlus USA released a lengthy and empathetic press release explaining their decision to make Persona 4 Arena the PlayStation 3's first region locked disc. Atlus USA's Sales & PR Manager Aram Jabbari firmly denied that the decision was a "slippery slope" and that the niche publisher would be continuing business as usual.

It's doubtful that the two announcements have anything to do with each other, but its nice to see that all is still turning well with Atlus, who rarely sees the wrong end of a controversy.

Persona 4 Arena will be released on August 7th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Pre-ordering only from specific retailers will land you the CD, but don't worry, you probably already buy most of your games at one of them anyway. Best make your decision quickly. Those CD's sell out FAST!
