Under the name "People Can Fly," the Polish developing studio worked on the Painkiller series. Then Epic Games picked up the studio, and People Can Fly created Bulletstorm.

Now, as confirmed in a statement released to Pixel Enemy, People Can Fly has been renamed as Epic Games Poland. A representative of the company sent this note along as confirmation of the name change:

"We've changed the studio's name from People Can Fly to Epic Games Poland. We're a global company with talented people working toward one goal across the world. We think this helps better reflect that."

Pixel Enemy also learned that, alongside several other Epic Games houses, Epic Games Poland is hard at work on Fortnite, the brand new IP from the Gears of War studio.

Fortnite is being made with Unreal Engine 4, and it tasks players with foraging and fortifying during the day in order to survive enemies at night. The title is still set to drop in 2014, though no concise release date has been given.
