Paul Rudd had some choice words after news broke that he'd be joining the new Ghostbusters movie. In a video shared by Sony Pictures U.K., the Ant-Man actor said he'd nearly slimed himself once he knew he'd be in the legendary franchise.
"When I heard they were gonna call me, well, as you can imagine, I nearly slimed myself," Rudd said. "I can't wait to join the cast this fall for Ghostbusters. In fact, I'm sliming myself right now."
It's been revealed that Rudd will play a school teacher, but details beyond that are unknown. Will he strap on a proton pack and help bust some ghosts? We're not sure. But hearing Rudd is part of the cast instantly makes the movie that much more exciting.
In addition to Rudd, the upcoming Ghostbusters film will also feature Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and McKenna Grace. Reports also claim some of the franchise's original cast could return, including Sigourney Weaver's Dana Barrett.
Ghostbusters is being produced, written, and directed by Jason Reitman, whose dad, Ivan, directed the original films.
Ghostbusters is set to hit theaters sometime in 2020.
