WWDC 2013 - Mac - OS X - Mavericks - 009

Apple announced that the latest version of its OS X operating system, Mavericks, would be available for free sometime today.

Well folks, the wait is officially over. OS X Mavericks is now available from the Apple App Store for download, and it runs on systems dating back as far back as 2007. That means you won’t have to do iterative updates just to get the latest version of the software. Simply fire up the App Store, download Mavericks, and run the installation.

We’re downloading the update now, stay tuned for more feedback. Oh, one last thing: it’s a huge 5GB file.
