OnePlus has begun rolling out the OxygenOS 9.0 update that allows its customers to completely customize Android Pie 9.0. The update comes a month after the official release of Android Pie, borrowing many of its elements and expanding upon them with cool customizations.
Among the changes in OxygenOS 9.0 is a a revamped interface, gesture navigation and adaptive battery feature. It’s a similar update to how Essential Phone handles Android Pie with the manufacturer’s own spin on the software.
We have to give OnePlus credit for rolling out the update in such a timely fashion. Manufacturers tend to take their sweet time to roll out updates, leading to the fragmented issue that plague Android devices.
OnePlus 6 users can download the update through the Settings menu. Go down to System and check if you’re device is ready for the update.
