OnePlus will soon announce its latest flagship, and you can get a first look at it right here.
The leaks we’ve gathered so far haven’t shown us much of the actual product. But here we are with new, substantial information. In photos obtained by WinFuture, the OnePlus 6T has been revealed. It’ll share a design with its predecessor, the OnePlus 6, while maybe having a minimally larger size.
As for the branding, the OnePlus 6T should have a traditional wordmark with a ‘T’ dropped inside a hexagon. OnePlus doesn’t make a big deal out of these year-ending upgrades.
When this high-end device goes official, OnePlus should have few differences between its new and most recent models. The OnePlus 6T will drop the rear-based fingerprint scanner for an in-display alternative, but features like the edge-to-edge screen and dual-camera setup will remain.
Check out this split-screen view of both flagships:
WinFuture suggests there will be a 6.41-inch display, hence the size taking a slight increase. OnePlus would then raise the OLED panel’s resolution to 2340×1080 and maintain its 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The report doesn’t mention a waterdrop-shaped notch, though.
The other specifications might include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, up to 8GB of memory, up to 256GB of storage, and Android 9.0 Pie. Lately, OnePlus has confirmed some items. Its upcoming flagship will have an in-display fingerprint scanner and no headphone jack. More will come out, and then our attention shifts to the full unveiling.
Expect to see the OnePlus 6T arrive in mid-October. OnePlus hasn’t talked about a launch event, but this flagship needs to arrive before smartphones sales ramp up in November and December. So the OnePlus 6T should be announced sometime over the next few weeks.
