OnePlus won’t make its new flagship too different than its current flagship, but you will definitely pick up on the reshaped notch.
WinFuture obtained several photos of the OnePlus 6T. In them, the edge-to-edge screen returns but in a slightly tweaked style. The notch will go from being an elongated cutout to taking up an incredibly small amount of space. While it remains, the notch will be much smaller and resemble a waterdrop.
Here’s what OnePlus’ upcoming high-end phone looks like:
The flagship will be sold in two colors, at least in the beginning. OnePlus should have this flagship in Mirror Black (left) and Midnight Black (right). In a few months, the BBK Electronics-owned brand could throw in additional colors like white and red.
Expect the OnePlus 6T to ship with a 6.41-inch Full HD+ (2340×1080) Optic AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, up to 8GB of memory, up to 256GB of storage, a dual-camera setup on the back, and Android 9.0 Pie. These are minor upgrades for the most part. Overall, it’ll be a very similar experience between the OnePlus 6T and the OnePlus 6.
You probably realized there isn’t a fingerprint scanner shown in these photos, and that’s because OnePlus will transition over to an in-display alternative. Just hold your finger on the bottom of the front, and the OnePlus 6T unlocks instantly. There could be facial recognition, too.
It’s almost here, so get ready for the OnePlus 6T. OnePlus says it’ll introduce a global product this fall.
