OnePlus is confirming design and specifications for its upcoming phone, but that doesn’t mean leaks are going to suddenly stop. There’s always something for us to see.
The OnePlus 6 has appeared online again. While we certainly have a good idea of the phone’s appearance, no one will complain about getting another early look at this beast. Our latest view shows the flagship from the front with its notch and edge-to-edge display left nowhere to hide. The leak also shares the processor running the show here, which OnePlus confirmed earlier in the week.
Here’s the image, which was obtained by Techtastic:
No one will doubt OnePlus is following the rest of the competition. Aside from filling the entire face of the phone with its display, the brand is implementing a notch at the top similar to the iPhone X. That’s what everyone is doing, though, so you can’t knock OnePlus too harshly.
Based on previous leaks, the OnePlus 6 should have a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2280×1080) AMOLED display.
The leak does repeat the fact that OnePlus says it’ll be using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 as the processor. If you’re into cores and clock speeds, the alleged OnePlus 6 in the image does have some details. But what’s important to know is that OnePlus intends on pairing a high-end processor with as much as 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Though the brand hasn’t said when it’ll launch, the OnePlus 6 should be announced within the next few weeks. OnePlus recently started teasing its next flagship on social media. With the industry light on new hardware as of late, OnePlus could earn itself a lot of attention by making an announcement earlier than usual.
