The OnePlus 5 is here and it replaces the outgoing OnePlus 3T. It’s a welcome update that adds a lot of new features while bringing OnePlus’ latest flagship up to par with the other devices out there. Its last phone, the 3T, made similar inroads back in November, and we loved it. So in what ways is the OnePlus 5 an improvement over the OnePlus 3T?
OnePlus improved 3T to the 5 in every way possible. From specs to design, it looks like a real winner. Included is a Snapdragon 835, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, 3,300mAh battery, dual camera (16MP main camera, 20MP telephoto camera), and bunch of other little refinements that make the OnePlus 5 OnePlus’ best phone to date. But its previous undertakings still stand up to the test of time.
Even nine months later, the OnePlus 3T is still considered a terrific phone. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of RAM, 3,400mAh battery and 13MP camera. It kept the same industrial design of aluminum unibody as the OnePlus 3 (save for a darker paint job) that was a big departure over the OnePlus 2.
