OnePlus has begun rolling out the Android Pie update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T. The rollout began this morning and will gradually hit every OnePlus 5 and 5T device in the coming days, bringing them up to date with the latest software version Google has to offer.

OnePlus has been steadfast about promising constant updates for its flagships within a two-year window. That’s a welcome commitment as it is not uncommon for Android smartphone makers to easily forget about flagships. OnePlus wants to keep its devices as appealing as possible and constant software updates is a great way of doing so.

Among the updates Android Pie will add are the new navigation gestures, a monthly security patch and the updated UI for Android Pie. With the OnePlus 5 and 5T joining the Android Pie fray, that means all four of OnePlus’ flagships over the past two years are running the latest version of Android.

If you own a OnePlus 5 or 5T device, look for Android Pie to arrive in the next couple of days as an over-the-air update.
