OnePlus is set to hold its first open sale on the OnePlus 2 later this month. Fans will be able to purchase the device without an invite for the first time since it made its debut in August, but they’ll have just one hour to do so.

“You’ve been very patient as we’ve worked to roll out our new flagship phone to our fans around the world,” writes OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei in a post on the company’s official forum. “We know that we could’ve made this experience much more smooth for our users, and we appreciate your patience.”

“On Monday, October 12, we are holding the first-ever OnePlus 2 open sales for one hour in four different time zones.”

The sale will start at 12 p.m. locally in all four markets — Asia, Europe, India, and North America — and it will end at 1 p.m. Those in Asia, Europe, and North America will be able to purchase their OnePlus 2 from the OnePlus online store, while those in India can purchase from

Customers can only claim two devices per order, but there is no limit to the amount of orders you can place, OnePlus says. So you can purchase six handsets if you wish to, but you’ll have to do so in three separate orders.

“As we are expecting high demand, the order processing days may differ from the normal times,” Pei explains. “Your estimated shipping timeframe will be displayed at checkout during the open sale.”

If you order a OnePlus 2 through the open sale, and then receive an invite, you can cancel your open sales order and repurchase using the invite to receive your handset faster.
