Eagerly anticipating the release of the OnePlus 2? Sorry, but you’ll have to wait a bit longer to get your hands on the upcoming device—at least if you’re in North America.

Originally set to ship the week after tomorrow, OnePlus now says production issues will result in a 2-3 week delay for those in the U.S. and Canada, meaning folks might have to wait until the beginning of September until the device arrives. For consumers in Europe, the OnePlus 2 is seemingly scheduled to start shipping as early as this week when the OnePlus 2 officially goes on sale on Aug. 11.

OnePlus doesn’t specifically reveal what about the “production schedule” is causing the delay, but in the spirit of transparency, the company said it wanted to share the bad news.

But don’t worry! OnePlus says you can still purchase the device beginning Aug. 11, though you’ll still need an invite. You just won’t get it until 2-3 weeks after shipments to Europe begin.

It’s always nice when companies are open and honest about delays in shipping. But in the company’s haste to bring us its new flagship killer, it appears customers will have to once again settle for a device that’s very hard to get.

In the lead up to the OnePlus 2’s announcement, OnePlus said it increased manufacturing capacity to ensure there’s ample supply for everyone. Guess that didn’t quite pan out as planned.

You can purchase the OnePlus 2 beginning tomorrow for $329 for the 16GB model, and $389 for the 64GB model. That is, if you have an invite.
