BioShock: The Collection is out this week on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. If you already own the titles on the PC, you’ll get the original and its sequel in remastered form as free updates on the 15th (tomorrow).

I’m playing the collection on the PlayStation 4. As I got through the early goings last night, one of the moments I really loved about the first BioShock went down. Right as you arrive in Rapture and begin speaking with Atlas, you find your first weapon and a plasmid. Your weapon, of course, is a wrench. As you kindly make your way to higher ground, you start to hear someone strangely singing a lullaby, though the lyrics have changed.

What ensues is what you see in the video at the head of this post. Minor, minor, minor spoilers, I suppose.

This moment stuck with me after I played the game back in 2007, and seeing it remastered here is terrifying.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m on my way to Neptune’s Bounty. Can’t wait to get scared by the dentist again.
