The SNK fighting games of old aren't as popular as their Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter peers. We can blame the lack of attention they got due to being stuck on the Neo Geo for that. However, those who have played them will swear by their quality, and the ultimate champion for this sect of gamers is Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

SNK has confirmed that the classic fighting game will be published on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita; however, it provided no date.

The game is best known for sky-rocketing the graphical standards for fighting games, using SNK's unique technology, and for being one of the most balanced and professionally designed releases that the genre has ever seen.

Garou: Mark of the Wolves re-launches at the same time its parents franchise, the Fatal Fury series, turns 25 years old. This new version will include unlockable art and sound bits as well as the netcode used in SNK's port of The Last Blade 2, which allowed for superior online gameplay.

Again, this version will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, but we do not yet know the date.
