Today, most cell phone cameras either leave the background overblown and out of focus, or the foreground dark and faded. HDR images, which take two shots and combine the images, typically solves that problem. But it's slow.

NVIDIA today announced a new technology as part of its brand new Tegra 4 chip that allows you to take an HDR photo in the same time it typically takes a regular smartphone to snap two photos. It even supports HDR preview in real time, which means you can see how the image will be improved before you even snap the photo. It's amazing technology and we can't wait to see it in real products soon.
