Samsung still hasn’t started to rollout the Android Lollipop updates for most of its newer smartphones, including the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. A new report suggests that Samsung might skip the Android 5.0 release entirely and will instead jump right to Android 5.0.1.

SamMobile first reported on Samsung’s intentions, and it makes a lot of sense. If Samsung already has the final code for Android 5.0.1, it’s probably going to try to release the latest build that it can, especially if the Nexus 6, Nexus 5 and other smartphones are already being updated to Android 5.0.1.

SamMobile also provided two screenshots as back-up for Samsung’s intentions, and again shared a video showing Android 5.0 Lollipop running on the Galaxy Note Edge with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface. You can check out that video above.
