Nokia recently confirmed that it will sell an unlocked version of its PureView 808 super cameraphone in the United States. The PureView 808 was originally unveiled during Mobile World Congress earlier this year and packs a whopping 41-megapixel camera that actually can go toe-to-toe with point and shoot cameras. Nokia’s president of North America Chris Weber confirmed the plans to PCMag recently. The PureView 808 is expected to land in the “coming months,” although it’s unclear how much the Symbian Belle-powered device will cost when it finally hits U.S. shores.
