Nokia Lumia 920Nokia will use its Sept. 5 event as a platform to unveil the Lumia 920, according to The Verge, confirming last week’s rumor when the device first leaked. The company is aligning the handset to be its flagship Windows Phone bread winner when it hits, and it’ll include specs that many will delight at.

Sources claim that the 920 will indeed include Nokia’s coveted PureView tech, but that the camera will only come in at 8-megapixels. While it’s not quite the 41-megapixel monster found in the 808 PureView device from earlier this year, Nokia has apparently engineered image stabilization and camera software advancements that will put it above the competition.

In addition, the Lumia 920 will include wireless charging support — via Qi wireless power standard — through an inductive method; simply lineup the device up to contacts on a charging pad, The Verge said. Other specs include a 32GB of internal storage, 4.5-inch HD display, 1GB RAM, and 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

We have a few days to mull over the leaked information before Nokia’s event gets underway on Sept. 5. Adding wireless charging to the mix is a way to turn consumer heads, but it’s the inclusion of PureView that may really close the deal. We’ll see what else Nokia has lined up in a few days.
