nokia windows rt tablet

Nokia's upcoming Windows RT tablet, codenamed Sirius, will come to market as the Lumia 2520, according to @evleaks. The naming convention sticks pretty closely to Nokia's famous numbering scheme; the company also has a 6-inch phablet on the way, which will supposedly be called Lumia 1520. Both devices are expected to get announced by Nokia at an event at the end of October.

Once the Lumia 2520 does arrive, the 10.1-inch tablet should sport a quad-core Qualcomm chip, 1080p display, and Windows RT; rumors suggest it'll debut for $499. Tablets running Microsoft's Windows RT haven't been particularly popular among consumers—such a high starting price is a bit surprising, though the specs are no doubt driving that up—but perhaps Nokia can manage to capture lightning in a bottle.

In addition to the tablet itself, Nokia could also introduce a keyboard accessory with built0in battery, though it's unclear if that will come separately. Despite Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia's device business, it doesn't appear the Finnish company's remaining device roadmap is being scrapped. So will Nokia go out with a bang, or a whimper?
