Hello Games says they’re committed to making No Man’s Sky work. What the working version looks like and how it might compare to the lofty expectations once held by the gaming world remains to be seen. The studio is, however, working on it.

In a post to their official site late last week, Hello Games indicated that their “focus is first on resolving any issues people have with the game as it is…” They’re rolling out patches for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game, they’ve brought on “a community/support management team” to help deal with feedback, and they’re actually writing and publishing full patch notes to tell people exactly what they’re fixing.

Once No Man’s Sky is working as intended, the studio’s focus will shift to “future free updates which will improve, expand and build on the No Man’s Sky universe.”

I wish them luck, and I’ll play the game once more as those patches and updates begin rolling out. For now, I’ve had my fill. What about you?
