While No Man’s Sky and its monotony might not be everyone’s cup of tea, the combination of supreme hype and the promise of a massive universe to explore have coupled to make the game sell really well on the PlayStation 4.

After its first week of availability, No Man’s Sky now sits as the second biggest release on the PlayStation 4 platform. That is, the sales of the game are the second most Sony’s seen in a launch week.

The number one game? Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. That news should, of course, surprise no one.

No Man’s Sky is, indeed, an enormous game. That’s both in its digital scale and the scope of its success.

I’m hoping that Hello Games, once the release hangover wears off, gets to adding more content to this expansive universe that will diversify my exploration. I’m definitely starting to get exceedingly bored with doing the same things over and over as I slowly grind my way to the center of this universe.
