  • Nintendo has unveiled new Joy-Con color combinations.
  • The new sets come in blue/neon yellow and neon purple/neon orange.
  • The new Joy-Con colors will be available October 4 for $79.

In the past week, Nintendo has announced the Switch Lite, an upgraded Switch, and now new Joy-Con colors.

Announced on Twitter, the new color combinations include blue/neon yellow and neon purple/neon orange. Unfortunately, these new Joy-Con colors won't be available until October 4, so you'll have to make do with your current setup for a little while longer.

I've stuck with the boring grey Joy-Con since I got my Switch when it launched, partly because extra Joy-Con are expensive and also because I haven't fallen in love with the color combinations that are available. I still would rather for Nintendo to introduce even more colors, but I'm really digging the purple/orange set, which will go nicely with Luigi's Mansion 3 when the game launches on Halloween.

The bad news is these Joy-Con retail for $79, which is an incredibly price when you consider all the controversy surrounding "Joy-Con Drift." But there's no denying these color combos look good. If you don't own Joy-Con and plan on picking up with Switch Lite, you might want to consider picking up a pair.
