Spring is in the air, and Nintendo is among the many publishers wanting to keep you inside playing cheap video games. Luckily, it has the Nintendo 3DS option which lets you take games outside!

The Nintendo eShop has launched a Super Spring Sale event covering both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U slashing prices up to 30 percent off a wide variety of games. Check out the full list below.

Wii U

  • A World of Keflings ($6.99)
  • Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker ($27.99)
  • CastleStorm ($6.99)
  • Chariot ($10.49)
  • F-Zero Maximum Velocity ($4.89)
  • Golden Sun ($5.59)
  • Pikmin 3 ($41.99)
  • Sportsball ($7.00)

  • Kersploosh! ($2.09)
  • Kirby: Triple Deluxe ($24.49)
  • Mario Kart 7 ($20.99)
  • Mighty Gunvolt ($2.79)
  • Siesta Fiesta ($3.99)
  • Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels ($3.49)
  • Tetris Ultimate ($13.99)
  • Tomodachi Life ($24.49)
  • Woah Dave! ($3.49)

Plenty of choices to choose from here. Both Pikmin 3 and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker are fan-favorites that are steals at the slashed price. If you own a Wii U, they should be pretty high priorities.

Golden Sun also has a lot of fans, and the conversion to the Wii U seems to have gone down smoothly with that crowd. I’ve always been impartial to it, getting tired of its long dialogue scenes, but it is second to none when it comes to village layout. It’s kind of a strange compliment to give a JRPG, but I used to be able to lose myself in Golden Sun’s country-bumpkin towns. That was on a GBA screen too. I wonder how that holds up on a big screen.

As for the Nintendo 3DS, there are plenty of good options. Mario Kart 7 is still the most viable portable option to Mario Kart 8, and Kirby: Triple Deluxe is a decent platformer. Tomodachi Life too is one of many life-simulators Nintendo has published over the years to steal away free time from your actual life.

I also have to give a nod to Mighty Gunvolt. It was free for those who purchased Azure Striker Gunvolt, but this little 8-bit throwback is definitely worth the $2.79 in change you have in your pocket.
