Nike's FuelBand app for iOS now supports friends and photo sharing, adding more functionality to an experience that's designed to "gamify" healthy living. The new friends option works exactly as you'd expect, allowing users to compete and compare results with friends; data is broken down into today, yesterday, this week and last week categories, and even includes leaderboards.

That experience further pushes the fitness platform into its own little elite social club, with the hope that sharing data with others will help users push themselves throughout the day. Photo sharing also works as you'd expect: attach a photo to any specific highlight you share on Facebook or Twitter.

You can get the update in the iOS App Store now.
