The American launch of Ni No Kuni: Wrath of The White Witch for the PlayStation 3 has been pushed back to Q1 of 2013. This news comes just months after we reported that the title was officially headed for the U.S market.

Fans of  Studio Ghibli's animation and Level-5's game design are going to have to wait about twice as long as they had originally planned due to the title's initial plans to launch in the winter of 2012.

The American version of the Level-5 developed title Ni no Kuni has been an anticipated title since even before being announced. American gamers have wanted to see the gorgeously rendered game in their country since the Nintendo DS version launched in Japan in 2010. The DS version of Ni No Kuni, No No Kuni 漆黒の魔導士, or "The Jet-black Mage" was given an out standing score of 38 out of 40 in Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.

The delay of this game is undoubtedly frustrating to fans of its Japanese counterpart. Its success overseas leads us to believe that the American version of the Level-5 and Studio Ghibli developed title will gain quite a following. Once you get a glimpse at the stunning in-game animations, it's going to be tough not getting at least a little excited.

When this game finally does hit U.S shelves in Q1 of 2013, we'll be there with the review.
