Google Galaxy Nexus Tablet

Google's Nexus tablet, highly rumored to be manufactured by Asus, is a "done deal," according to a U.S.-based supply chain source speaking to Android and Me. The tablet will reportedly cost between $149 and $199 but, due to the lower price, will not feature NVIDIA's Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It still remains unclear what kind of hardware the Nexus tablet will offer, but Android and Me said the tablet is still expected to offer a 7-inch display.

The name of the tablet is still up in the air. The supply chain source suggested that the device could be called the "Nexus tablet," but Android and Me believes Google could spice things up a bit and brand the tablet the "Nexus Play." That sounds appropriate, especially given Google's recent decision to rename the Android Market to "Google Play." The Nexus tablet could be unveiled as soon as CTIA in May, which TechnoBuffalo will be attending.
