Amazon is taking $50 off the retail price of the Nexus 9 for both the 16GB and 32GB models. That’s not a significant discount, but the device hasn’t been available for very long, and we’ll never complain about saving money. If you didn’t save during the holiday discounts, now is your chance.

The Nexus 9 begins at $399, bringing the price down to just $349 after Amazon’s discount. That sounds like a much more reasonable starting price than $399. Look: we like the Nexus 9, but we’re not crazy about how much it costs, especially considering how cheap previous Nexus tablets have been in the past. That’s what you get for the more premium hardware, I suppose. If you haven’t yet purchased the HTC-made device, $349 is fair.

The 32GB model is much more expensive at $479, but the price is brought down to just $429 after the $50 discount is applied. Amazon is offering the black and white models of the Nexus 9; personally, I think the white model looks much nicer than the black model. You’ll have to go through Google’s Play Store to get your hands-on the Sand model, which we’re still expecting to hit at some point down the road.

It’s unclear how long the deal will last, so you better jump on it early if you want to save some money.
