Microsoft has been working overtime to turn the Xbox 360 into more than just a games console in recent months, with the introduction of entertainment services like YouTube, Dailymotion, VUDU, and more. But is hasn't quite finished just yet.

From today, Xbox 360 owners in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland, will have access to over 45,000 music videos from more than 11,000 artists through a brand-new VEVO app. VEVO users will be able to link their VEVO profiles to their Xbox to "stream and curate playlists, share videos through Facebook and discover new artists."

Key features include:

  • Continuous Play: Stream and curate your personalized music video playlists from on your Xbox. Whether you're hanging alone or chilling with some friends, create the ultimate lean back experience and watch only the videos you want, when you want.
  • Voice and Motion Activated: Voice and motion control mean you are the remote control. Search for a video by saying the name of the artist or swipe through VEVO's catalog with a wave of your hand.
  • Discover, Watch and Share: Share videos with your Xbox friends or through Facebook and see their activity in real time. Who knows, maybe you'll discover your favorite new artist by seeing what the ultimate tastemakers – your friends – are watching.

Thanks to VEVO on the Xbox 360, I no longer have to stream Justin Beiber videos to my HDTV from the VEVO app on my iPad. Isn't that something.

Have you tried the new VEVO app for Xbox yet?
